How Do I Tell If My VEVOR DZ-260C Heat-Seal Strip Needs Replacement?

Exact model: VEVOR DZ-260C

Choose the situation that matches what your machine actually does. Follow that repair route and check its result before trying another.

Safety: Disconnect mains and let the sealing bar cool; do not defeat lid or pressure protection.

A.

Seal has a fixed-position gap or burn mark

When this applies: Several otherwise clean, compatible bags repeatedly show a gap at the same point along the bar.

What this suggests: The DZ-260C manual illustrates the Teflon cover replacement, not a complete diagram of each heating-wire terminal variant.

What to check

  1. Unplug and let the bar cool. Compare the PTFE/Teflon cover cloth, metal heating wire and lid-side silicone pressure strip.
  2. Cloth with a hole or burnt-through area differs from a severed wire or indented pressure strip.

How to correct it

  1. For damaged cover cloth, follow manual page 11: remove screws at BOTH ends of the sealing-bar bracket, lift the bracket, remove upper fixing screws, replace the cover cloth flat and refit in reverse order.
  2. Ensure the cloth is smooth and the heating strip remains safely covered; replace an obviously damaged matched silicone pressure strip if its contact surface causes the gap.

Check the result: Test consecutive matching bags at conservative seal/cool settings. No fixed-position gap or scorching should recur.

B.

The heater wire itself is visibly damaged

When this applies: With the cooled cover removed, the actual sealing wire is broken, burnt, distorted or cannot create a full seal; the cloth alone is not the problem.

What this suggests: The original accessory list includes spare Heating Wire and Teflon Cloth but does not publish every wire terminal/tension procedure.

What to check

  1. Photograph wire path, end fittings, tension, insulators and power-version label.
  2. Compare replacement length, width, material and electrical rating to the original; a generic 320 mm wire cannot be assumed compatible.

How to correct it

  1. Have a competent sealer technician replace the matched wire in the correct existing insulator/tension assembly; do not expose live metal or use PTFE cover cloth as the sole electrical insulation.

Check the result: Restore all guards and test several bags. If the wire attachment cannot be matched, the service-level replacement procedure remains unverified.

Confirm the repair

A consistent full-length seal forms without a cold gap, fused hole or burnt patch.
