Safety first: Use the E-stop, unplug spindle/machine power before touching tools, switches or couplers, and keep hands out of axis travel. Never bypass a hard-limit switch to run a cutting job; do not loosen a powered spindle or jog an axis into its physical end.
Model and version covered
Genmitsu 3018-PROVer V2 with GRBL-compatible controller. Check board marking and firmware before applying GRBL commands; the older 3018-PROVer and V2 Lite do not necessarily have identical connectors.
Version check: Confirm controller, GRBL firmware and actual limit/probe connections before changing parameters or running automated motion.

01
Candle cannot move machine after E-stop
HOW TO CHECK & CORRECT THIS CAUSE
- Remove tool from workpiece, twist mushroom E-stop in the direction marked on switch until it pops out.
- Ensure machine mains/24V supply is restored, reconnect Candle, then clear controller alarm using documented command after confirming safe position.
How to tell it is fixed: Short air-cut jog responds normally.
02
E-stop physically released but machine still unresponsive
HOW TO CHECK & CORRECT THIS CAUSE
- With power removed, inspect E-STOP cable and connector to controller board, replace faulty contact/switch only with matching safety-rated component.
How to tell it is fixed: E-stop stops the spindle/motion reliably, then releases normally after reset.
03
E-stop circuit has been bypassed or behavior uncertain
HOW TO CHECK & CORRECT THIS CAUSE
- Do not operate CNC without functional emergency-stop circuit.
- Have it rewired by competent service before use.
How to tell it is fixed: Pressing E-stop stops motion every test.
